Vietnamese roots. New beginnings.

The warmth of home,
poured into every cup.

Coffee from Vietnam, inspired by a mother’s home-brewed robusta and a journey across the sea to a new shore.

What we stand for

Coffee from Vietnam

Inspired by the strong, sweet robusta that filled Tung’s family home.

Founded by Tung

His portrait is on every bag, a promise that each cup carries his family’s story.

Made for Sharing

New Shore exists to bring people together over a cup of Vietnamese coffee.

Every bag carries his story on the back.

The Founder’s Story

A new place.
A new chance.

In Vietnam, Tung’s mother would brew coffee for herself and his father. He still remembers the strong, sweet aroma of Vietnamese robusta filling their home — a memory of family that never left him.

Tung left Vietnam on a raft, hoping for a new place and a new chance. After a perilous journey, he spent years in a refugee camp in Thailand before coming to America to build a new life.

New Shore Coffee began with that enduring memory. It is Tung’s way of sharing the warmth of home, honoring his family, and bringing people together over a cup of Vietnamese coffee.

The Ritual

Brew it the
Vietnamese way.

Vietnamese coffee is traditionally brewed slowly, one cup at a time, with a small metal filter called a phin. Take a few minutes, let it drip, and share it with someone you love.

  1. 1

    Prepare the glass

For cà phê sữa, spoon one to two tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk into a glass. Skip it for cà phê đen, black coffee.

  2. 2

    Fill the phin

Add about two tablespoons of medium-coarse ground coffee, shake to level, and set the press gently on top.

  3. 3

    Let it bloom

Pour in a splash of hot water and wait about 30 seconds while the grounds bloom.

  4. 4

    Slow drip

Fill the phin to the top, cover, and let it drip slowly — about four to five minutes.

  5. 5

    Stir & share

Stir the coffee into the milk, enjoy it warm, or pour over ice for cà phê sữa đá.
